Today is Thanksgiving in the states and one of my American cousins has lost her battle with HIV.My cousin Maria recently lost her life but also brought life and laughter to many she met.She had an infectious laugh (you know the kind that people stop and look when they hear it) and did awesome impersonations of all the silly people in our family. She was never afraid to speak her mind.Spoke three languages fluently-English,Greek and Spanish. She was also a very accomplished equestrian rider.Traveled throughout Europe in her teenage years backpacking with barely a cent to her name.So while i type this down with tears in my eyes i also have a smile on my face....and she is the one who put it there because she left me with enough happy memories that i know her life though short was well lived!!!Just as she did she celebrated life and never felt sorry for herself even when she got very sick physically.

God bless you Maria i love and will always miss you!!!She used to call me her "coconut" cousin from Canada....because we both loved coconuts(really silly together) and we were both first cousins.Except she was really #1!!!!!Thanks for the laughs!!!
