So this is my new blog. I'll try to update it as frequently as possible. Please feel free to leave your comments and questions. If you want me to write about anything in particular then let me know. I'll do my best to offer my opinions and advise =).

I've just moved house, from the big city out into the country. During the move I discovered something interesting about myself. I've always been scared of spiders, and where I am now there are lots of them. Mostly huntsmen, about the size of an adults hand. Their brown and hairy and very very scary as they move incredibly fast.
One was in the car the other day and I saw it before my mum did (I live with my mum) and instead of freaking out I just calmly told her to move away from the car. Thats something I never thought I would do.
I was wondering if all people suddenly find themselves cappible of dealing with scary things when found in a situation where it's likely to happen all the time, or if it's an aspie trait. Maybe it's just me but I find it interesting to think about.
As an aspie I tend to have difficulty facing my problems and just wish for someone to make them all go away. So it amazed me when I saw that spider and thought, it's just a spider. Nothing scary.

Anyway that will do for now. I have to tend to my cat Fluffy, which i'll probably write about quite alot. I have a fasination with animals. I think thats an aspie trait too.

Let me know what you think of my 1st blog =)

Bye for now

  • Lara:

I read your blog.   If I can offer advice, please do what you have to do to continue your education.  Although I am almost 52 I do understand the struggles you have faced, in particular in high school.   I remember how important it was to fit in, and I never did fit in.    When I went to college things got better - you could be a bit eccentric and you could concentrate your studies on things that interest you.  For me, graduate school was better yet.    You will find th ebetter educated you are, the more control you have over your own life.   You have choices.   Don't let people rob you of your education just because you are different.
